I am excited to write about something I found... A BABYSITTER! I Love my son, but sometimes I need a break. Whether it's a date night with the hubby, a nap, time to clean up around the house, or whatever the case, us stay at home moms need it!
I had been wary of hiring a sitter since my family had been able to watch my son every once in a while. I was so used to people I know and trust, I did not want to give a complete stranger a try! Well, my family members are not always available, and I definitely need a couple of hours during the week here and there (for my personal sanity).
I found a site called Sittercity.
They have qualified nannies, babysitters, pet sitters, elderly care givers, and even doulas. Each nanny is required to post a biography about themselves, list their location, can include a photo, and, for the best part, a background check! Put in your zip code to search your local area. I used the service last month just to try it out. I met with a couple different ladies that interested me, and I was able to connect with a great college student, who is a child development major and also works part time at her college campuses preschool program. She is great with my little man, my moody, hard to please shiba inu even loves her.
I started with a free trial. Or if your already to go, use the coupon for 10% off: SCSAVE10 (should still work). Get your life back! Or at least some of it! You will see that it is well worth it!
For those of you who have extra time and are looking to become a sitter, you can actually sign up and have your profile listed for others to search, free.
